CALL FOR PAPERS in ADAPTATION

The Adaptation Section of the 2010 National Popular Culture & American Culture Associations Conference

Wednesday, April 20, through Saturday, April 23 at the Marriot Rivercenter San Antonio, and Marriot-San Antonio Riverwalk

Proposal deadline—December 15, 2010

Papers on any and all aspects of film and other media adaptations will be considered. Since we are meeting in San Antonio this year, however, we are particularly interested in adaptations centered on the American West. We consider “adaptation” a way of looking at texts more than a particular brand of texts. Thus we welcome papers on video game adaptations, new media adaptations, literature to literature adaptations, and radio adaptations along with film adaptations.
