The Hessians: Journal of the Johannes Schwalm Association, a scholarly journal in its 33rd year, is welcoming manuscript submissions.
The Hessians is devoted to the study of German auxilliaries to the British Crown who fought in the American Revolution and their descendents. We are seeking scholarly, well-sourced manuscripts that investigate the military, naval, social, and cultural history of the German auxiliary troops, including those who remained in America after the Revolutionary War, became citizens, made cultural contributions, and were the progenitors of any thousands of Americans living today.
Submissions are considered on a rolling basis and may be included in the current year or the next year's volume.
