Dr Sandy Lerner, chair and trustee of Chawton House Library, will give the Annual Sybil Campbell Lecture 'Pen and Parsimony: carriages in the novels of Jane Austen.
Dr.Lerner, avid horsewoman, will deliver her spirited and informative lecture, explaining how Austen underscores the nature of her characters by their choice of carriage.
