The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) of the University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras (UPR-RP) invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture “Nuestra América no era (ni es) la América Latina: Una relectura de José Martí” [‘Our America’ was not (and is not) Latin America: A Re-reading of José Martí] by Dr. Antonio Gaztambide Géigel (Department of Social Sciences-General Studies, UPR-Río Piedras). Dr. Carlos Rojas Osorio, (Humanities Department, UPR-Humacao) will serve as commentator. The activity will be held on Thursday, September 30, from 1:00 to 3:00pm in Amphitheater REB 238 (Ramón Emeterio Betances Building), School of Social Sciences, University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras.
