The World's Fairs and Expositions Area of the Popular Culture Association is accepting proposals for its panels for its national conference in San Antonio, Texas, March 31 - April 3, 2010, at the Marriott Rivercenter (just steps from the Riverwalk). Panel/presentation topics include world's fairs and international expositions, garden shows, trade fairs, special exhibitions, commemorations and celebrations. Controversy will not be shunned.
Proposal submission deadline: December 15, 2010.
Proposal submissions should include a paper title, a short paragraph about the presentation, and full contact information and a CV. if a first-time presenter.
Professors, independent scholars, teachers and professionals are encouraged to participate. Graduate students are particularly welcome at the conference, which offers awards for the best graduate papers. Graduate students are also encouraged to apply fot travel grants.
