The Austrian-American Educational Commission
(Fulbright Commission), Vienna is pleased to announce screenings of Georg Steinböck’s documentary
"Fulbright at Sixty: The Austrian-American Fulbright Program, 1950-2010"
As part of the commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of bilateral Fulbright exchanges between Austria and the United States, the Austrian-American Educational Commission asked Georg Steinböck to produce "Fulbright at Sixty: The Austrian-American Fulbright Program, 1950-2010." This forty-five minute documentary in English and German with English subtitles is based on interviews with different generations of Austrian Fulbrighters from the 1950s to the present and with recent U.S. grantees as well as historical footage, photos, and archival material. It provides an overview of the origins and objectives of the Fulbright program and gives Fulbright grantees with an opportunity to tell the story of the Austrian-American program in their own words.
