Evelyn Waugh Conference, Downside Abbey and School, Somerset, UK, 16-19 August 2011. Topics include Waugh's novels and travel books, but proposals on any aspect of Waugh's life or work are welcome. Grandson Alexander Waugh will preside, so papers on Waugh's relations with his family would be appropriate. Alexander is also the editor of the Evelyn Waugh Edition to be published by Oxford University Press. Papers on editions of Waugh or little-known writings would also be fitting.
