Evelyn Waugh Conference, Downside Abbey and School, Somerset, UK, 16-19 August 2011. Topics include Waugh's novels and travel books. Grandson Alexander Waugh, editor of the Evelyn Waugh Edition to be published by Oxford University Press, will preside over sessions consisting of papers prepared by scholars and other experts. Proposals for papers on any aspect of Waugh's life and work are welcome. Those attending will travel to Combe Florey, Waugh's last house and gravesite. Residence at Downside is available for a limited number of people.
