I’d like to announce the recent publication of my book, Puerto Rican Citizen: History and Political Identity in Twentieth Century New York City (The University of Chicago Press, 2010). It explores Puerto Ricans’ experience as political and social actors in the metropole, focusing on their expectations and critiques of their U.S. citizenship. I hope it will interest some of you!
