The National Association of African American Studies and Affiliates will co-host an international research forum with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. The research forum will be held in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, July 20-22, 2011.
Persons interested in presenting a paper should select a topic related to improvement of education/educational practices for African children. Topics may include, but are not limited to: role of government, testing, social issues, school development, role of parents, etc.
Abstracts, not to exceed two (2) pages, must be submitted by October 30, 2010. The forum will be limited to fifty (50) presenters. Therefore, interested scholars should submit his/her abstract as early as possible. Please forward abstracts to: NMMU Conference Services, c/o NAAAS and Affiliates, P.O. The trip will also have a tour component. Persons who are not presenters are strongly encouraged to participate in the full trip scheduled for July 16-28, 2011. Travel with the group to Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.
