George Washington Teacher Workshop:
“The Exertions of Skill and Genius”: Establishing Agriculture, Commerce, and Manufactures in the New Nation
Friday, October 29, 2010
WheatonArts, Millville, New Jersey
We are very happy to announce that, through the generous support of the Lipper Family Charitable Foundation, New Jersey teachers have the opportunity to participate in a free workshop exploring George Washington’s vision for the economic success of the new nation as well as the important role New Jersey played in the establishment of commerce and manufactures.
To help ensure classroom applicability, presentations will be geared to the new New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. Additionally, the New Jersey Historical Commission, which is a registered New Jersey provider of professional development hours, will issue a certificate to attendees upon completion of the full workshop, verifying that six professional development hours have been earned. Please check with your individual institution to confirm the documentation that you will need to receive credit for these hours.
The workshops, including lunch, is entirely free of charge.
