I'm looking to put together a roundtable for the 2011 Eastern Sociology Society meeting, held in Philadelphia, PA. I was wondering who out there works with qualitative software programs in their research and would like to discuss the experiences they've had.
As of right now, I'm focusing on two general areas:
-How researchers use qualitative software in their projects (this can account for anything from problems caused by the software or how it is used at different levels in the research process)
-Teaching qualitative software: strategies for implementation
The ESS meeting will take place Feb.24-27, 2011. I am looking for 2-3 people to sit in on the roundtable. The primary purpose of the roundtable to to discuss the opportunities/limits that qualitative software has in the research process. If you can make this conference then please get in touch with me.
