How do we know the things we claim to know? What is ultimately real? What is justice? Is there a God? These and other big questions make up philosophy. In a small way, this conference seeks to address philosophically the big issue of race in what is now being called a post-racial world. Three philosophers, Clanton Dawson, Bethune-Cookman College, Brian Thomas, University of British Columbia and Yolonda Wilson, Duke University, whose interest and research encompass race theory and ethics will address the issue of race and philosophy at the 3rd Annual Midwest Philosophy and Theology Conference, Friday, October 15, 2010, 1:00pm until 5:00pm in the Inman E. Page Library on the Lincoln University campus, 712 Lee Drive, Jefferson City, MO, 65101.
