You are cordially invited to join the Southwestern Historical Association in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 16-19, 2011. Participants may submit proposals for panels, individual papers or roundtable sessions in any area of history. Proposals are welcome from faculty, independent scholars, public historians, and students. Students may also propose papers or entire panels for student-only panel sessions sponsored by Phi Alpha Theta, the national History Honor Society, however they must be members of the organization to participate on such a panel. Otherwise, students may also submit papers for regular sessions. Students should submit papers for either a Phi Alpha Theta session or a regular session.
Please send proposals to the appropriate area coordinator listed below. The deadline for receiving proposals via traditional or e-mail is October 15, 2010. Individuals submitting accepted proposals will be notified by email approximately six weeks after the submission deadline. Requests for projection equipment must be submitted with the proposal. Participants may also submit their papers for consideration in the paper competitions for each field: prize monies accompany the honor.
