The impact of hard times on Americans comes to life in the newly completed Rain: A Dust Bowl Story. Students can choose short episodes that shine a light on our grandparents' generation and how Americans historically have responded to economic crash times like our own.
Slice-of-life literature helps teachers make history come alive. Students see the emotional impact on families, women and their friends, and communities in times of money stress and societal change.
The author invites interaction with students and readers.
