The conference will be held from 9-11th dec. in the university of delhi. It is being held by the dept of persian, under DRS prog. Papers may be on the various subjects related to preservation of the textual contents;editing of the texts;introduction of the hitherto manuscripts of persian and urdu; problems of deciphering scripts;famous scribes of the manuscripts;calligraphers and art of calligraphy; ornamental pens and core pens of persian & arabic writing system; development of language and the manuscripts;paper, ink and other tools of writing used in the persianate culture; miniature paintings and the subject matter in the manuscropts of persian & Arabic; problems of identify the base manuscripts in the editing system'
papers can be in English, Persian or Arabic. The papers approved for the presentation will be announced by the 15th nOV. 2010. Selected paper readers will be provided free accomodation and meals from 8th evening till 12 morning in the guest houses of delhi univ. north campus. Travelling cost has to be borne by the participant him/herself. However, there will be no registration fee.
