Dear Fellow Genocide Scholars:
The Institute on the Holocaust and Genocide, Jerusalem is proud to inform you that our website, GPN Genocide Prevention Now (www.genocidepreventionnow.org) has just uploaded our summer issue (Issue 3.
Among the many stories and articles you will find in our summer issue are: genocidal massacres in Kyrgztan, whether the British Petroleum Oil Spill was "ecological genocide" or possibly "ecocide," the attack on two minority Moslem religious groups mosques, an appreciation of Richard Klorian, founder of the Armenian Genocide Resource Center who passed away in June, a survey introduction to laws in European countries against Holocaust denial, and "Can we prevent genocide by preventing incitement" as well as many more on all aspects of genocide.
Please remember that we welcome regular submissions of information for our various information databases –including the calendar, announcement of conferences and seminars, information about projects and calls for collaboration, news of completed work, organizations devoted to genocide study and prevention, university and college and other programs and courses, and the bibliography of publications about genocide. Slowly but surely, we present new information and also in some cases cumulative lists of past and new information combined.
We are a website-magazine. Our immediate goal is ‘a good read.’ Our long range goal is to contribute meaningfully to the development of genocide studies and taking real steps towards prevention.
