The University of Saint Joseph is hosting an international conference on Lusophone studies on areas such as culture, language, epistemology and politics. The event is dedicated to scholars, researchers, historians and authors aiming to engage in an interdisciplinary dialogue concerning postcolonial relations between Portuguese speaking countries. We hope that this conference will stimulate fruitful discussion across disciplines and across countries and regions on past and present issues related to a common historical heritage and aiming to enhance future cultural and academic networks, as well as to promote multidimensional communication, critical analysis of concepts and theories, cultural exchange, and solidarity among people. The conference will be held during February 24-26, 2011, at Macau. Both papers in Portuguese and English are welcome. The deadline for abstract submissions is September 20, 2010. Full papers should be emailed to us before January 20, 2011, to:
