The World Religions Educator Network (WREN) is a new venture promoting the networking of world religions educators and the advancement of the teaching practice. WREN is calling for submissions for its inaugural Winter-Spring 2010-11 issue of WREN Magazine, an online publication for teacher-scholars who teach world religions courses and/or who integrate the teaching of world religions into other courses. Academic papers and articles on personal classroom experiences and pedagogy will be considered for publication.
The first issue will feature the topic of Using Technology in Teaching World Religions.
WREN is looking for inspired educators and scholars willing to approach the subject of teaching world religions at the K-12 and undergraduate levels in new and thoughtful ways. We welcome interdisciplinary approaches.
Submission guidelines:
Length: Articles of a personal interest nature and conference papers may range from 800-2500 words, but tightly argued and well-researched academic papers will be accepted up to 3500 words.
References should be listed at the end of submissions in the order that the appear in the text.
Only email submissions will be accepted. Email your submission as an attachment. The subject line should be titled "WREN submission". In the body of the email, please include your name, address, phone number, and a 1-2 sentence biographical note. Submissions should be emailed to wrensubmissions@gmail.com.
Submissions will be kept for six months. If you are sending a simultaneous submission, please inform us as soon as possible if your article is going to be published elsewhere or you no longer want your submission to be considered.

Submissions deadline for the Winter-Spring Issue is November 15, 2010 at midnight.
