Call for Papers for an academic conference, sponsored by Loyola University Chicago, addressing the literary, philosophical, and theological influences that converge in the works of American writer Flannery O'Connor. Presentations should focus on particular thinkers upon whom O'Connor drew directly (such as Sophocles, Dostoevsky, Chardin, Niebuhr, Bouyer, Adam, Mauriac, Maritain, Gilson, Guardini, Voegelin, D'Arcy, Lynch, Ong) or figures whose works help illuminate hers today (such as Gadamer, Ricoeur, Habermas, de Lubac, Balthasar, Blondel, Benedict XVI). Send 250-word abstracts to Mark Bosco, S.J., at mbosco@luc.edu by Friday, April 1, 2011. If you need audio-visual support, please note that on your abstract. Responses will be e-mailed in May 2011.
