Conference focuses upon developing new strategies and paradigms for teaching concepts of race and ethnic studies to undergraduates at liberal arts colleges and universities. Plenary sessions will focus on three themes: Rethinking Theories and Paradigms; Methodologies; Intersections and mobility within ethnic studies. Conference honors alumnus Ronald T. Takaki, author of _Different Mirrors_ and a leading pioneer in multicultural education and ethnic studies.
