Call for papers for a session at this 3-day international conference (15-17 July 2010) to be held in London.
'The future of the history of medicine' will consider the disciplinary and methodological challenges facing the field in all aspects of research and resourcing, not excluding media technologies and publishing.
I am organising a session which will consider, among other issues, the place of non-textual media (including social networking, movies, web and audio recording) as valid historical evidence in the history of medicine, and the challenges of archiving such media.
I'd be pleased to hear from anyone interested in presenting a 20-minute paper in this session.
