The Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE) in Nice invites graduate students and young professionals to apply for its traditional North American European Summer Academy in Schloss Hofen (Austria).
This year´s course about "The relations between Europe and North America" starts on July 26th, 2010 and ends on August 7th. Teaching language is English.
Topics amongst others will be: US Foreign Policy after 9/11 : Conflicting American World Views; Reading Barack Obama: A New US Foreign Policy? Democracy goes to War: Who should decide? The financial crisis; Europe and Transatlantic Relations: The challenges of Bosnia, Afghanistan and other; EU, NATO and UN Peacekeeping missions etc.
Working groups, discussions, and plenary sessions will be organised at the end of each week.
The group will be composed of approx. 20 students from Europe and North America. Eligible are graduate students, but we also consider applications from students in their second or third year.
Some scholarships are available for specially qualified candidates.
