Call for papers for a panel at the 57th Annual Society for French Historical Studies, Feb. 10-12, 2011, Charleston, SC, on the integration of urban women’s religious houses into the wider community in France or French-speaking areas. Chronological focus open. Possible topics include interactions between the nuns and their families, local governments, urban markets, members of the laity, and/or members of the church.
