UPDATED Northeast Popular Culture Association Call for Papers
The 2010 Northeast Popular Culture Association annual conference will take place October 23 at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, a member institution of the Colleges of the Fenway Consortium in Boston, Massachusetts. Paper proposals are welcome on popular culture and culture studies topics that may include such areas as film, television, advertising, science fiction, fashion and body image, ethnicity and race, comics and graphic novels, urban studies, New England/New York Studies, philosophy, music, detective and mystery fiction, health and disease, or global cultures. MCPHS is located in Boston, in the Longwood Medical Area, in close proximity to the Museum of Fine Arts and Fenway Park, with easy access to city businesses and restaurants. Since 1974 NEPCA has invited scholars from New England and New York to be part of an expanding intellectual community.
