Environment and Immigration: Transnational and Historical Perspectives CFP ASEH 2010
As an effort to provide a broader historical understanding of the recent Arizona anti-immigrant law, this panel proposes to address the thorny links between environmental politics and immigration politics. Papers will be presented at the 2010 American Society for Environmental History in Phoenix, Arizona, April 12-16. Suggested papers might examine the Sierra Club’s internal battles over immigration positions, the intellectual and populist links between Zero Population and nativism. Papers from any time period or geographic area are welcomed.
Abstracts should be sent be sent as soon as possible.
