SUB-THEMES: This concerns actual and potentially available choices in the following broadly defined areas of basic education for attain the Millennium Development Goals in Africa through Basic Education. These areas are: Adult Education, Religious Education, Nomadic Education, Social & Cultural Studies, Special Education, Creative Arts, Economic & Financial Education, Vocational & Technical Education, Computer Education, Entrepreneurship Studies, Mass Literacy Programmes as well as the roles that Development Institutions and Educational Policy makers and Managers have to play.
INVITED SPEAKERS: These include the former Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Universities Commission, Prof. P. A. O. Okebukola (O.F.R) and representatives of UNICEF.

PUBLICATIONS:
Papers will be considered for publication in Dec. 2010 edition of various local and international Journals including the International Review of Arts and Social Science Issues and the MOCPED Journal of Arts and Social Sciences. The International Review will give preference to empirical researches and articles detailing the outcome of field studies.
