Pickering & Chatto is pleased to publish a monograph series 'The Body, Gender, and Culture'. The purpose of this series is to publish high quality research projects that explore ‘the body’ as a site of critical enquiry. The series extends from the early modern period into the twentieth century. It is particularly concerned with ‘the body’ as the point of intersection between gender, culture and society. The body is a social and cultural construction, and the series investigates the various narratives engendered by this process of becoming. It also explores how the body mediates between self and society in the process of determining our relationship to the world around us. You can find out more about this series at: www.pickeringchatto.com/body. If you would like to discuss an idea for a monograph proposal or an edited collection of essays then please contact Prof. Lynn Botelho at: Botelho@iup.edu
