Special Issue of Journal of Black Studies--Haiti Earthquake
Call for Papers Deadline:
The Journal of Black Studies seeks papers for a special issue addressing the theme “The Haiti Earthquake of 2010: The Politics of a Natural Disaster.”
We are seeking papers from multiple disciplines in order to engage in-depth discussions on the earthquake in Haiti of January 2010. We are interested in papers that address topics ranging from the effects of the earthquake, the political and historical context of the earthquake, the portrayal of Haiti in the mass media, to the future of Haiti.
Papers must be completed and written in APA format. Multidisciplinary perspectives are sought.
Submission requirements: We will only consider manuscripts that have not been previously published, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Manuscript length: 25 pages.
Submission Deadline: a complete manuscript must be submitted by August 15, 2010, and the expected publication date is January 2011.
