The MAICS conference started as a relatively small regional conference that traditionally accepts papers from all areas of artificial intelligence, cognitive science and computational intelligence, including computational linguistics, logic and automated reasoning, knowledge representation, learning and philosophy of mind.
Graduate students and junior faculty are especially encouraged to submit papers. The broad range of topics together with the fact that usually only a limited number papers are accepted, and presentations by well known scientists, make the MAICS conference a very special event that has served as a first time presentation opportunity for many graduate students. In recent years MAICS has also attracted a significant interest from international participants.
Papers in all areas of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science are invited. Submitted papers may present significant final results or describe interesting research in progress. Participation of younger researchers and graduate students is specially encouraged.
