Join the Canadian Industrial Heritage Centre (CIHC) for an afternoon of History and Heritage in Brantford. The event takes place on Saturday June 12th at Laurier Brantford's Odeon Theatre, 50 Market Street, Brantford. Presentations include: "Historic Mills on the Grand River Watershed" by Warren Stauch; "Adaptive Re-Use of Industrial Buildings in the Grand River Valley" by Dr. Karen Dearlove; round-table discussion built heritage "Place and History" with Elizabeth McLuhan from the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre, Mac Swackhammer from the Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology and Dr. Neil White; and film "Brantford and Me" by Laurier Brantford journalism student Joel Tansey. The event is free and open to the public.
