Lesley Gordon appointed Editor, Civil War History.
The Kent State University Press is pleased to announce that Dr. Lesley J. Gordon will be the next Editor of Civil War History, beginning with volume fifty-seven (2011). Published quarterly by the Kent State University Press, Civil War History is the foremost scholarly journal of the American Civil War. Now in its sixth decade, the journal focuses on social, cultural, economic, political, and military topics from the antebellum period through Reconstruction. A professor of history at the University of Akron, Dr. Gordon is joined by Associate Editor Kevin Adams (Kent State University), Book Review Editor Caroline Janney (Purdue University), and the following distinguished Board of Editors:
