My name is Raechel Lutz. I am a Master's student at Rutgers-Newark and I am putting together a panel for the ASEH next annual meeting in Phoenix.
I am looking for third a panel participant for a panel, loosely organized around new perspectives on urban and suburban relationships with Nature, Past and Present.
My specific paper focuses on the labor that maintains Northern New Jersey's lawns and the social systems that determine who cuts our grass and how suburban peoples interact with nature through the lawn.
Another paper in the panel will focus on the challenges of city interment in New York City during the mid-nineteenth century and the shifting conception of the human corpse in the natural world.
Please email me if you are interested in participating in this panel.
Thanks so much! Have a great day everyone!
