Join teachers, scholars and professionals from around the world to discuss this year's theme: "Uniting Cultures Through Education: Case Studies and Classroom Curriculum."
Individual and session proposals are currently being reviewed for the IX Annual Worldwide Forum on Education and Culture in Rome, Italy, 1-3 December 2010. Please see the Call for Papers page on our website for an electronic submission form.
Each year the congress attracts about 100 persons from more than 28 countries. The major focus of the 2010 meeting will be on practical applications and case studies for the classroom. There will be a welcome and keynote address on the evening of 1 December, followed by two full days of presentations and panels on 2-3 December.
We invite proposals from all disciplines and on multiple levels, especially the following fields and subjects:
- Exploring and Comparing Cultures
- Language Skills and Cross-Translation
- Internet and Social Technology
- Media, Film and Entertainment
- Connecting Teaching and Learning
- Religion and the Individual
- Communication Across Countries
- Entrepreneurship and Global Business
- Liberal Arts in Community
- Multicultural Texts and Contexts
- World Politics and Practices
- International Agendas
Deadline for abstracts and proposals is 21 May. General registration for participants, however, will remain open until 29 October.
All those attending the Worldwide Forum on Education and Culture will be invited to submit a manuscript for the published proceedings as well as the juried online journal. These previous publications are available online for review.
REGISTRATION
The cost of registration is $255 per person, which includes all registration materials, two receptions, two coffee breaks and two full buffet lunches.
LODGING
Sessions will be conducted at the Trilussa Palace Hotel, a four-star deluxe hotel in the Trastevere district of Rome. Discounted lodging also will be available at other nearby hotels.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Four $100 scholarships are available each year to help scholars from developing countries attend the Worldwide Forum on Education and Culture. Please see our website for a complete list of nations. Applicants must indicate their interest in receiving a scholarship when submitting an abstract.
