Leslie J. Harris studies rhetoric in public culture, especially as it pertains to representations of gender. She has received a Research Committee Award from the Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee to support her current project on the rhetoric of marriage in the nineteenth century United States. She has also published in Rhetoric Society Quarterly and Women’s Studies in Communication.
