‘HISTORY OF EDUCATION: WHAT IT’S FOR AND WHY IT MATTERS’
DATE: Saturday 19th June (10.30-15.30)
VENUE: Homerton College, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 8PH
This special one day History of Education Society conference for postgraduate and early career researchers will be held at Homerton College, Cambridge University. The two keynote speakers, Dr Catherine Burke and Dr Peter Cunningham, both of the University of Cambridge, will address the conference theme from the perspective of children and young people, and adults.
For the second part of the programme, we welcome papers from all those attending the conference on any theme within the history of education, which, along with the papers presented in the first session, will provide the basis for a round table discussion led by the two keynote speakers in the concluding session.
Proposals of up to 300 words (and any informal queries) should be sent to Sarah Winfield at sjw91@cam.ac.uk by 30th April 2010.
