The University of Pittsburgh invites you to join the workshop "Reframing Gender, Power, and Resistance in Latin America and Asia" on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Our keynote speaker will be Professor Trinh T. Minh-ha at the University of California, Berkeley.
This project will create a new and exciting space to link scholars in Latin American studies and Asian studies, deepen the understanding of the postcolonial human conditions, and produce new knowledges in the intersections of gender, sexuality, race, and class at various localities in Latin America and Asia.
The workshop takes place at 548 William Pitt Union Building, University of Pittsburgh. The opening ceremony begins at 9 AM and the workshop concludes at 5 PM.
