CALL FOR PAPERS AND UPCOMING ISSUE HIb: Historia Iberoamericana
HIb: Historia Iberoamericana invites authors so submit articles and announces the upcoming publication of its June 2010 issue which will include a dossier on “Food, Eating and Culture in Latin America”.
This issue will contain the following articles:

“The Table is Served: Cooking and Eating in Mid-Twentieth Century Mexico”.

“Geografía de la fruta en el Reino de Chile”.
-Jaime Rodrigues (UNIFESP/Campus Guarulhos, Brasil)
“Estou encostada junto com os meus pais porque eu não tenho casa para morar”: notas para uma história social da hierarquia, da tensão familiar e do consumo alimentar entre trabalhadores paulistanos, 1937-1963.
-Gregorio Saldarriaga (Universidad de Antioquia)
“Comedores de porquerías: control y sanción de la alimentación indígena desde la óptica española en el Nuevo Reino de Granada (siglos XVI y XVII)”.
HIb: Historia Iberoamericana is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. It is published twice a year and seeks to contribute to the analysis of cultural spaces of Latin America, to widen the horizons of national historiographies, to promote integration among Latin American historians, and to inform debates regarding our societies. The journal is aimed at historians who specialize in Latin American history and publishes articles in Spanish, Portuguese, and English with no restrictions regarding subject material, methodology, or chronology.
Authors should send their articles in Word format to e-mail: editor@hib.universia.net. The articles must have a maximum length of 50 pages, letter-size, double-spaced in-point Times New Roman 12 - including notes, graphs, charts, illustrations, quotations and references.
