The Call for Papers for the 42ND Annual Conference of the Association for Jewish Studies is now available online at http://www.ajsnet.org/. The conference will take place December 19-21, 2010 at the Westin Copley Place, Boston. The AJS Conference is the largest annual gathering of Jewish studies scholars worldwide, drawing approximately 1000 attendees and featuring more than 150 sessions dedicated to all fields of Jewish studies scholarship. The online proposal submission site will be open for submissions beginning March 23, 2010; the deadline for submissions is May 11, 2010. You will also find on the AJS website: general information about travel grants, hotel, meals, registration, and sample abstracts.
If you are interested in organizing a session and seek participants, please post an announcement to the Sessions Seeking Participants page on the AJS website. Session organizers seeking participants for their proposed panels, roundtables, meetings, or seminars may list their proposed session topics, along with their contact information. Those interested in joining one of the sessions will contact the organizer directly about submitting a proposal. For more information, go to http://www.ajsnet.org/session.htm. The page includes instructions on how to submit a proposed topic and contact a session organizer.
Please contact the AJS office at ajs@ajs.cjh.org or 917.606.8249 if you have any questions about the conference.
