We are currently seeking original work and panel suggestions in the area of SPORTS for the annual Midwest Popular Culture Association/Midwest American Culture Association Annual Conference. Abstracts can include a wide variety of topics and approaches to Sports. Abstracts or panels might include research focused on sports in the Midwest; for example, the construction of the new ballpark (Target Field) in Minnesota. But papers/panels on all topics related to sports are welcome and encouraged.
Please email a paper abstract and/or panel suggestion (including full participant information: abstracts, affiliations, contact info, panel chair, etc.) by Friday, April 30, 2010 to Ben Dettmar (dettmarb@msu.edu) or Jesse Draper (draperje@msu.edu). Along with a paper description, please include university affiliation, professional address, and email address. You must specify any AV needs (DVD only) and any special scheduling needs with your proposal.
