This panel invites papers that explore any topic related to the conference theme of "Terror" in American Literature before 1870. Suggested topics include Gothic Literature, Revolution and Terror, Slave Narratives, the Sublime, Dark Romanticism, Nature and Terror, and Gender and Terror.
