To celebrate the launch of Volume 16 of Limina: A Journal of Historical and Cultural Studies the Collective is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Limina Conference.
It will be held on Friday 2nd July at the University of Western Australia, Perth.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Limina Collective is calling for conference submissions that explore resistance to traditional discipline boundaries while applying a rigorous approach to issues of research, context, and theoretical debates. The conference aims to foster a lively scholarly environment in which these diverse issues can be discussed.
To submit your proposal, please forward a 200-word abstract and brief biographical note as an attachment to the submissions editor at: limina@cyllene.uwa.edu.au
If accepted, papers must be 20 minutes in length.
Possible areas of discussion may include:
• Liminality
• Regions and regionalism
• Ethnicity
• The mainstream and the alternative
• The centre and the periphery
• The included and the excluded
• Displacement
• Silencing
• Geographical, social, or political borders
• Marginalia
• Contested histories
• Resistance
• Representation
