Call for Manuscripts--Sports and American Culture Series
The editor invites proposals for new books in the Sports and American Culture series published by the University of Missouri Press. This series considers sports in relation to the manifold currents of American culture. Books in the series have included biographies, autobiographies, and team histories, as well as explorations of exciting eras and events. These works typically address issues of race, gender, ethnicity, class, immigration, urban life, and the role of the media in sports of all kinds throughout American history.
Authors engaged in book projects that might be suitable for the Sports and American Culture Series should contact Clair Willcox, Acquisitions Editor, at the University of Missouri Press (email@example.com) or Roger D. Launius, Series Editor (firstname.lastname@example.org). Queries may also be sent by mail to the University of Missouri Press, 2910 LeMone Blvd.,
Columbia, MO 65201.
