The Institute of Caribbean Studies, University of Puerto Rico-RíoPiedras (UPR-RP) invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture “LAS CAUSAS DEL TERREMOTO DE ENERO DE 2010 EN HAITÍ: EL ENTORNO TECTÓNICO DEL BORDE DE PLACA DEL CARIBE NORTE Y SU HISTORIAL SÍSMICO” by Dr. Alberto López Venegas, Red Sísmica de Puerto Rico y UPR-Mayagüez. Dr. Lorna Jaramillo Nieves, Department of Physics, UPR-RP, will serve as commentator. The activity will be held on Wednesday, March 10, from 10:00 to 12:00 m., at the Amphitheater CRA 108, Carmen Rivera de Alvarado Building, Faculty of the Social Sciences, UPR-RP.
