CALL FOR PAPERS
Theme: Race and Resistance in Black Atlantic Communities
The Black Atlantic Community Conference Committee invites submissions of presentation and poster abstracts related to the theme, “Race and Resistance in Black Atlantic Communities,” cognate topics, as well as to the overall conference mission. We encourage and welcome a diversity of relevant subjects, approaches and formats. Each presenter will be given 25 minutes, including discussion time.
The Black Atlantic Community Conference has served as a multi- and inter-disciplinary forum and venue for affirming strengths and exploring and resolving problems within Black communities locally, nationally and globally. 2010 marks our 6th meeting since the inaugural conference in 1999. We have hosted and continue to welcome participants from a wide spectrum of locales, disciplines, professions and intellectual perspectives to share their knowledge and insights as well as to forge new practical collaborations.
