Dear Colleague,
I am writing to invite you to Northwestern University for the 2010 Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) Research Conference.
The conference is April 16-17, 2010 in Evanston, IL and will feature another distinguished keynote speaker, Dr. Mignon Moore, Department of Sociology at the University of California at Los Angeles. Our theme is "Intellectual Embraces: Developing Multidimensional Scholarship" and we are planning a full day of research talks, professional development panels and networking that will truly enrich your scholarship.
One new feature of this year's conference are the research awards. We will award cash prizes to the "best presentation" in each of the
presentation panels. Registration is only $20 and includes a catered Welcome Reception on Friday, conference bag and gifts, meals on Saturday, a cocktail Closing Reception, 2 night hotel accommodations (for those who present their research), a chance to win cash prizes and invaluable networking.
Be sure to submit your abstract and register today!
Abstracts due: March 5
