The application of the “Green Slime Mold Theory for a Practical and Beneficial Purpose
Citizens have convened a “virtual” Peoples Constitutional Convention on line, using “the Green Slime Mold theory” to achieve their goals. The theory is based on attributes of the slime molds, a unique networking microorganism. Each autonomous cell at its own initiative self organizes and with no central control or administration, communicates and connects with other independent cells, to find the shortest and most efficient path for its purpose to proliferate infinitely. Citizens have used their own initiative and imagination to perform whatever tasks are necessary to advance the purposes of the convention.
The first is to provide all teaching institutions, especially Elementary schools, and any citizen a link to the interactive “People’s Library, which will be the most comprehensive Internet source for information about the history of America, its form of government, and it’s institutions, and all of the pertinent associated documents and papers, will be available with a single mouse click.
The second purpose is to provide any citizen over eighteen years of age an opportunity to participate in a process that has never been tried in the history of our Country. It is a National direct petition to Congress to make amendments to the “Constitution.” It is aired to give citizens a powerful new voice to trump both the partisanship of our representatives, and, the money and political influence used by special interests to kill meaningful and necessary reforms that would benefit all Americans.
The actual site and the sophisticated data base for signature capture and validation, as well as the interactive communications infrastructure, and the comprehensive library are being constructed off line by individual citizens in all of the states who are donating professional services and time, instead of money, using their own initiative with limited central control and administration to achieve the purpose of the convention.
In addition to the infrastructure, citizens of each State are initiating their own web presence, using a “Master Template” developed by a citizen participant, for consistency and efficiency to connect the States to the Central forum and teaching Institutions and students to the Library. University students will be given course credits for their work experience, and lower grade students will be able to observe our Democracy in action. Non-voting and disenfranchised citizens will have the opportunity to have their voices heard and participate in our democracy in a new and modern way.
