The 2010 Rocky Mountain Medieval and Renaissance Association Conference will be held in conjunction with the Wooden O Symposium at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, from August 9-11.
RMMRA and the Wooden O Symposium invite panel and paper proposals on the conference’s special topic, “Politics and Performance in the Middle Ages and Renaissance.”
Additionally, the Wooden O Symposium invites papers on any topic related to Shakespeare and early modern drama, but gives priority to those relating to the Utah Shakespearean Festival's 2010 summer season: The Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, and Macbeth.
Deadline for proposals is April 1, 2010. Session chairs and individual presenters will be informed of acceptance no later than May 15. 250-word abstracts or session proposals (including individual abstracts) should include the following:
name of presenter(s)
participant category (faculty, graduate student, or independent scholar)
college/university affiliation
mailing address
email address
audio/visual requirements and any other special requests
