Join John Muir descendants, scholars, National Park interpreters, climbers, hikers, and naturalists for a symposium focusing on John Muir's science and naturalist activities. Gather on Thursday, April 22 at 5:00 PM at University Center on campus for a broadcast lecture by Michael Pollan followed by two days of papers and programs at University of the Pacific, Stockton. Keynote luncheons on April 23 by Richard Beidelman, author of California's Pioneer Naturalists and April 24, Donald Worster, author of A Passion for Nature: The Life of John Muir. $70 preregistration; $85 at the door for the entire symposium.
