Croatian-Canadian Academic Association (CCAS) is organizing its 3rd International Conference in Canadian Studies in Zagreb, Croatia from May 21 to 23, 2010, on the topic "Migration, Globalization, Hybridity: Canadian and Croatian experiences".
Given the broad character of the three concepts, we encourage papers that will provide different views on understanding the complex characters of these mutually complementing aspects of modern human existence, including the various aspects of such areas as multiculturalism, citizenship, governing, human rights, constitution, tolerance, diversity, ethnicity, identity, outsiders, place, cities and ruralis etc. We especially welcome the submissions by scholars and students that will address the above mentioned concepts in Canadian and/or Croatian context(s) from any discipline.
Please submit abstracts of 150-200 words either in French or English language by e-mail no later than March 1, 2010, along with the information regarding your affiliation, position, field of specialization and a one-paragraph CV.
